Description
AQUACEL® Ag+ dressings are antimicrobial primary dressings designed for wounds that are either infected or at risk of infection. These dressings address three critical local barriers to healing: exudate, infection, and biofilm. AQUACEL® Ag+ incorporates advanced Hydrofiber™ Technology and Ag+ Technology— a unique ionic silver-based formulation with antibiofilm properties. AQUACEL® Ag+ dressings are offered in two versions: AQUACEL® Ag+ Extra™ and AQUACEL® Ag+ Ribbon dressings.
The AQUACEL® Ag+ Extra™ dressing features two layers of Hydrofiber™ Technology, stitch-bonded together for added strength, making it 9 times stronger and 50% more absorbent than the standard AQUACEL® Ag dressing.2*
Similarly, the AQUACEL® Ag+ Ribbon dressing is also reinforced with stitch bonding.
